MREs are a waste of money.
Hint: They are just "canned food" you can save a lot of money by just going to the store and buying cans of food.

Not MREs per se, but large quantities of freeze dried foods. Take a look at it. It’s not a bunch of garbage.

My opinion on freeze dried food is, it's so expensive that if you are going to get serious about it, you need to buy a freeze drier and DIY.

Mountain house is fun for a weekend of backpacking. Not for prepping.
