"If you usually discard the stringy peel when preparing rhubarb, think again. It makes a very nice cordage material."

Oh shit. I was in Indiana during last winter while driving hotshot and stopped for dinner at a mom and pop restaurant. The food was pretty good and all the waitresses were pretty much babes. Anyway, she asked me if I wanted dessert and I had her run down the options. Then I asked, “What the hell is Rhubarb pie?” She told me and her description didn’t sell me on it but the lady the next table over heard and she said it’s so good and I should try it. The waitress said she would bring me a piece on the house.

Y’all, don’t. Don’t even try that shit. It’s not good.

I know! Way too bitter. My mom grew rhubarb and would make me eat it. Yeccch. At least it's useful for cordage in a pinch.
