I think the interviewer sucked and was just trying to get shapiro angry so he could say his one liner at the end that "thanks for showing that anger is not apart of american politics" all snarky. It was a setup hit piece with a clear agenda. And I don't like shapio but that interviewer didn't "smoke" anyone. If anything shapiro called him out on his bias and agenda.

I don't agree with you that the interviewer necessarily sucked, but it's clear that he had absolutely no idea who he was interviewing. Shapiro, OTOH, was primed to do battle with with high level left-ist troll. The result was just a crappy, unsatisfying interview where everyone was the loser.
