I did, in Afghanistan, when we had way too much other shit hanging off us to make anything else viable. Especially climbing in and out of a crew seat in a helicopter. Then I came back and did the police academy.

Man, a regular ole hip holster is so much better for getting at it when you need it. It makes sitting in a driver's seat a bit less comfortable at first, but you eventually set into a way that works best for you.
