Do weak men know they’re weak?

Or are they disillusioned until reckoned…

My opinion is that they know.

It is also my observation that strength is hierarchal, contagious and impermanent, and that even weak men can become strong men, if only for a moment.

All aspects of “strength” considered — do weak men know they are weak?

I think it depends on their level of self awareness. Smart men question their own intelligence while dumb men seem to think they have it all figured out.

This is a good point — a self-aware man knows whether they are weak or strong, but without self-awareness, do they then understand their strengths or lack thereof?

I ask the question because I’ve heard plenty of people with the personal confession “I’m not a smart person but…” but never a man say “I’m a weak man…” or “I’m not a strong man…”

I'm not as strong as I used to be, all of my children except my daughter could wipe the floor with me if they tried. That said, all it takes is a stern look from Grandpa(me) and any wrong doing will stop immediately.

When my children were little I would count to five when they were misbehaving. I counted at a nice, slow even pace. There was no cajoling between numbers. There were no half numbers. Something perceived as morally “wrong” could also be said to be “evil.”

Thus weak men see strength as evil and something to be feared and destroyed.

Perhaps this is the logic behind “appear weak when you are strong” because I had not considered it before — at what point then do strong men show strength?

Hopefully not before it is too late and the throngs of weak men (ie the “evil” to the strong) have neutered them wholly.

What is the threshold of knowledge or proficiency when one goes from knowing enough to be dangerous to knowing enough?

If fair to suggest that the weak are “miserable” then it is equally fair to suggest they want you to share in their misery.

It's a constant struggle, a bit like fighting an addiction. Sometimes it's better, sometimes it's worse. If you work hard on yourself, step by step you can become stronger, but deep deep inside you still feel weak and you need to fight this feeling and not allow it to take over your mind.
