Anyone got any advice on stopping wasps attacking bee hives?

Tell wasps to check their privilege.

I'm sure there are botanicals out there that will deter wasps and not affect bees.
Geranium attracts good insects and stops wasps I think.

Lost the hive in the end unforunately.

Nothing worked so last night moved hive altogether to 300 yards away. See if that helps

Put in entrance reducers. It limits how big things can be to get in or out and limits the area they have to guard.

What are your thoughts on this?

I cannot see how it differs from a reducer.

Find the wasp nest and destroy. Kill the problem at the source. Any survivors will be too busy building a new nest to trouble your hive. You might have to track the wasps to find it.

Im not a keeper...yet. However, since Im interested Ive been reading up over time.

I don't think there is really a way to stop them. You could put up pop bottle wasp traps to catch some of them but others will still get to the hive.

I saw a vid once where the bees began forming clusters around the invading hornets and through vibration essentially cooked the hornets. So it would seem the bees will take care of them on their own.

Something like this: https://www.livescience.com/19078-bee-ball-cooks-enemies.html

They are battling it out so maybe just hope the hive is strong enough

I've heard that flea treatments on meat work in the spring but not later on as the the wasps swop to sweet.
