Here's the rub: if you downvote any one user too many times, you won't have a good time. Earlier today system reversed a bunch of downvotes on u/try as he has little patience for this, you can see his comment on this.

Ideally, in the perfect world, users would ignore things they don't like, with a downvote reserved for unrelated posts or off topic blather. But this is voat and we don't tell you what you can and can't do with your votes. Some users didn't like porn and downvoted the heck out of it. So ignoring and blocking subs or users, while available, isn't how some want to use voat.
So the only thing I can assure you is that if you downvote too much, you're gonna have a bad time.
