We need an alternative scientific community, an alternative schooling system, and an alternative college/university

Something to counter the political and financial corruption that has creeped into modern academia, we must build an alternative that can serve as a shelter for persecuted academics, a source of a politically unbiased education, and as a place that can use actual science to fight the cult of pseudoscience that has dominated our current academic institutions.

We could go to Africa, with a coordinated flood of us smuggling ourselves into some shithole we could displace the locals and turn it into a haven for our people.

The problem is decoupling these institutions from the governments (local, state, and federal).

Many school districts pay more than $20k/student/year. This means that a young family of 4 would have to dish out $40k to have the same level of funding. Basically that isn't doable, and private schools have lower funding, and a huge market pressure for parents to not use them. If this pressure was released (full vouchers) then public schools would end overnight, and 5 private schools would take the place of them.

Similar practices happen in the other institutions that keep accreditation, grants, etc. reserved for the incumbents.
