Potatoes are super-easy to grow and provide an abundant harvest.

Also, in my opinion, the flavor of fresh potatoes is much improved over store-bought.

I've been growing lettuce, kale, peppers, squash, failed at strawberries. It is a bit disappointing though that it's so much cheaper to just grab it at the grocery store. Nice to have a fallback I guess.

It's not really a fallback unless you grow enough to feed your family and know how to store the harvest.

FYI...Habenaro peppers will cause kidney stones to flare up in those who are "stoners", (my doctor's analogy) it happened to me an hour after I ate a pizza laced with purple bonnets. However, the good news is, affliction is isolated to the kidneys, for some reason other internal organs aren't susceptible to a kidney stone flare-up, strangely enough it's only the kidneys.
