It's the same as in Russia: It's part of their national identity to view the allies as heroes during WW2. Where they can spin the holocaust in their favour it's illegal to doubt it, when it starts to be used against them it's illegal to support it.

Poland has been torn apart by jews and communism. I think some in the government are more aware than they let on, but they don't want to go down that road again. It requires a bit more subtlety than "kill them". That doesn't make anyone "see" their enemy.
