Since it is a felony in some locations to fuck with political signs, it occurred to me that signs could be made to just say things like “is a traitor,” “is a RINO,” “supports the SPLC,” or “is a jew.” We plop these signs in front of political signs to show what we think of these assholes. Hell, “is an asshole.” could be a sign. And of course they could have some little words on them to make sure they are considered political signs. If anyone fucks with them, boom you’re a felon. We could even set up the left with camera (trail cams) to make sure they get caught.

Thoughts?

It appears that it is typically a misdemeanor, but crosses into felony based on value or outrage. All 50 states appear to have similar laws.

Laws are twisted on a whim. Consistent and impartial treatment is dead assuming it ever lived at all. So you can try but be prepared for someone to randomly burst your bubble.
