I've always considered the "Press for English" meme in the same class of stranded on a dessert island, quicksand emergency or other Far Side comic-esque scenarios, in that it doesn't feel like a real everyday problem.
It's begun to occur to me that the people who always complain about this probably actually do spend inordinate amounts of time calling for help with basic things. Essentially boomers with computer problems that they cannot solve themselves.
