Italian media entrepreneur and former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi wants to participate with all his might in the election campaign before the parliamentary elections on 25 September and contribute to the election victory of the centre-right alliance, which includes his right-wing conservative Forza Italia as well as the right-wing Lega and the post-fascist Fratelli d'Italia.
According to polls, Forza Italia is currently at ten percent. Fratelli d'Italia is expected to be the strongest single party, giving its party leader Giorgia Meloni a claim to the post of prime minister.
