https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/citroen-helps-de-gaulle-survive-assassination-attempt

In August 1962, a group called the OAS (Secret Army Organization in English) plotted an assassination attempt on President de Gaulle, who they believed had betrayed France by giving up Algeria (in northern Africa) to Algerian nationalists. Near dusk on August 22, 1962, de Gaulle and his wife were riding from the Elysee Palace to Orly Airport. As his black Citroen DS sped along the Avenue de la Liberation in Paris at 70 miles per hour, 12 OAS gunmen opened fire on the car.

Pay attention Trump!

The purpose of the 2nd amendment is to keep government in check.

When the members of the government got scared like they were supposed to be they retaliated by starting to take away the 2nd amendment.

They were non violent but exercised their rights too close to the government.

Is America already #110? - During the Civil War, Gen. Ulysses Grant began expelling Southern Jews... until Lincoln stepped in. - General Orders No. 11 gave Jewish people just 24 hours to leave their homes and lives behind.     (www.history.com)

The creation and globalization of the web is widely considered one of the most transformational events in human history. 4.39 billion people, including you, are now estimated to use the internet, accounting for over half the global population.

He had a complicated life suddenly surprised with success. I love flying. He got confused and did something stupid. Mixing up the fuel tanks on a Long-EZ? No, I disagree with the findings. Otherwise Long-EZs would be falling out of the sky. My point? Good singer, total fuckup.

1952: Supreme Court prohibits communists from teaching in US public schools.      (www.history.com)

https://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/supreme-court-rules-on-communist-teachers

"The New York state statute—called the Feinberg Law—banned from the teaching profession anyone who called for the overthrow of the government; the law was specifically aimed at communists. Several other states adopted similar measures. In New York, a group of teachers and parents challenged the law, and eventually the case went to the Supreme Court. The majority decision upholding the Feinberg Law, declared the New York Times, supported the belief that “the state had a constitutional right to protect the immature minds of children in its public schools from subversive propaganda, subtle or otherwise, disseminated by those ‘to whom they look for guidance, authority and leadership.'” .....
By 1952, many Americans were convinced that communist agents and supporters were actively at work within the United States, and that their forces permeated every aspect of American life. The Feinberg Law remained in force until another Supreme Court decision in 1967 declared most of its provisions unconstitutional."
