Variants of Yiddish are spoken with local influences, which caused linguists difficulty in tracing the origin of the language. The further from Iran/Khazaria it was spoken, the more local language influence was to be found in Yiddish, particularly Slavic and German. For those who don't believe Khazars have any genetic relationship with the Palestinian jews exiled by the diaspora in the first century, this is powerful evidence.
