I've been impressed by the blogger, Pete Judo, and his coverage of the replication crisis. Here he explores a well funded study that is so shoddy there is nothing there for a replication attempt to try to replicate.

I'm so old that I remember when the television program Tomorrow's World was hosted by Raymond Baxter. Science reporting then was all about the wonders that science would provide. Now-a-days, science bloggers have no choice but to report the latest juicy scandal.

Among his many other fascinating beliefs, the NASA director believes the far side of the moon is always in darkness. Getting your science from Pink Floyd album covers may not be the best idea.

CLIMATEWIRE | The nation's first outdoor test to limit global warming by increasing cloud cover launched Tuesday from the deck of a decommissioned aircraft carrier in the San Francisco Bay.

The experiment, which organizers didn't widely announce to avoid public backlash, marks the acceleration of a contentious field of research known as solar radiation modification. The concept involves shooting substances such as aerosols into the sky to reflect sunlight away from the Earth.

The move led by researchers at the University of Washington has renewed questions about how to effectively and ethically study promising climate technologies that could also harm communities and ecosystems in unexpected ways. The experiment is spraying microscopic salt particles into the air, and the secrecy surrounding its timing caught even some experts off guard.

there's no global warming so this experiment is for something else.

personal conspiracy theory here :

the alteration of the environment could be for beings that are about to arrive that doesnt like our atmosphere at all. this sounds cooky as hell but there's no other explanation as to why they are doing this since. again, global warming is a fraud

or another theory is that its another way to poison the masses? either way these ppl are crazy and i think that they arent doing this with the public benefit in mind

The USA wants some Pleistocene Park action in Colorado.

Mammoths to be reintroduced to Colorado amid concerns they could get wild

Pleistocene rewilding and reintroducing megafauna fills ecological niches tha have been vacant for thousands of years, enabling spontaneous establishment of species where possible, and by actively translocating minerals, halting tropic cascade.

The Snowmastodon Project: Mammoths and mastodons lived the high life in Colorado

Megafauna and ecosystem function from the Pleistocene to the Anthropocene

...[sic] Ecography that have been published as a result of an international workshop on this topic held in Oxford in 2014. Insights emerging from this work have consequences for our understanding of changes in biosphere function since the Late Pleistocene and of the functioning of contemporary ecosystems, as well as offering a rationale and framework for scientifically informed restoration of megafaunal function where possible and appropriate.
