The "lower class" people the Leftist politicians claim to champion and defend are the most common victims of the vermin those Leftist politicians demand not be prosecuted for their crimes, and let out of prison to continue their crime sprees. Of course, the politicians don't suffer. They live in upper class neighborhoods, which receive better police protection. If a member of the "lower classes" dares to walk through their enclaves, the cops swarm through the area, searching for the interloper. Meanwhile, the cheaper neighborhoods remain the domain of the criminals set loose to prey upon the denizens of those areas.
