Computer/e-Mail Question.     (Computers)

Some web sites e.g. politicians/newspapers, have an on-line form you can fill out as distinct from sending an email to another email address. If I complete such an on-line form and lodge it, does my default (?) email kick-in and send the form so that the recipient actually receives an email from my email address so that any alt I've used in the form (different name/different email address) shows I'm lying?

Can you backdate an email by adjusting your PC clock ?     (www.theguardian.com)

It seems to me that even if the email has a past date on it, it would need to show a "sent" tag and if it was meant to have been sent to me and is resent with a old date on it, I'd get the email in current time and know it was a fix.Agree.

Can I kill the "beep, beep" on this device without being connected to the App (subscription) that controls it.     (emporiumhut.net)

1. I don't want to take out a subscription for the device because I don't want all the fancy features (e.g. remote viewing).

2. The device provides basic home security without a subscription i.e. point in one direction and record to SD Card.

3. The only problem is the device beeps loudly every 10 seconds or so and if I could kill that noise I could use the device. My wife said if she heard the "beep, beep" once more she'd flush the device down the toilet.

Even if I could get into the App again (my account has been terminated after a trial free run), I'm still not sure if there is a setting that allowed me to turn off the beep.

What I'm going to try is to download the App again using a different WiFi and different name/email and try to get back in but, as I said, even if I do...will I be able to kill the beep?

Microsoft confirms critical security vulnerability exposing billions of users

Microsoft has dubbed the security vulnerability "Dirty Stream" and explains the flaw can be traced back to a critical system that is responsible for the secure data exchange between different applications on a device. This system is also responsible for conducting handshake authorizations through safeguards such as the isolation of sensitive data, hiding any permissions that are attached to specific Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs), and preventing any unauthorized access through validating file pathways.

That site offers an extension that automates the process with just a single right-click.
It can't get much easier than that.

What Google does though is impose margins of ads on either side of the page which cuts out content.

That's weird, I'm not seeing that.
Sorry, but I'm not about to turn off all my blocker extensions one by one to figure out which one(s) is(are) responsible.
