These guys were geniuses. I looked forward to the Muppet Show every Sunday night as a kid in the early 80s. Hope you all have a great weekend. :)

One of the most underrated metal bands I think! They really evolved and I love their newer music more than ever. Happy New Year's Eve Goats and God bless us all for what's in store for us in 2024. :)

I read that there is a 100 IQ limit to cops in the US but is it sub-80 overseas? Granted, it is the UK so it may be illegal to sit in your car these days I dunno.

Love these guys. :) Saw them in concert in Philly back in the early 90s. Really funny and talented duo as far as electronic music goes. They always had a tendency to merge dub/reggae with electronica and I never knew why until they started writing stuff with Lee Scratch Perry (RIP). They were huge fans of his from the start.

I really liked these guys back in high school. Long time ago! I looked at them as the alternative to Pantera but the more that I listened to Pantera and Pro Pain the more I appreciated the latter. They have a lot of albums and they're all pretty darn good.

Happy Friday Goats!

The Alan Parsons Project - Time     (music)

I've been on an "oldies" kick recently with ELP and Gordon Lightfoot etc. and a friend of mine sent me a link of the 100 most significant Sci-Fi albums of all time and The Alan Parsons Project actually came up for "I Robot" which intrigued me. I always loved that "Eye in the Sky" song but I had no idea that they were influenced by science fiction.

Anyhow I bought a 2 disc set of their best songs and I'm really impressed! They're reminiscent of something like early Porcupine Tree crossed with an old sci-fi epic movie soundtrack. But what shocked me was Time - I loved that song as a kid and had no idea it was they who wrote it until today. What a haunting and beautiful tune wow. Anyhow, I thought I would share. Cheers.

Chris Chappell is good stuff. His vids are around 10 minutes and he's right to the point and often pretty darn funny too.

The new one is about radiation in China as well as Japan (Fukushima).

I saw some people around here mention The China Show but they both ramble too much (they do). So you might find this guy more informative and entertaining. Cheers!

Here's an oldie. An oldie for me anyhow. Most of you haven't heard of this kind of stuff. But industrial music was a major influence in my life back in the day. These guys create a soundscape that reminds you of a future dystopia with every album. Endless cogs interlocking and spinning with no purpose. Good stuff. Enjoy!

Don't know if you guys are familiar with Steve Wilson but he's had an amazing music career with Porcupine Tree and his solo albums not to mention Black Field. Outstanding progressive rock. First heard of the band in 1997.

I grew up playing some of these songs. To learn Bach was more of a technical exercise than learning a song by heart and being moved emotionally. Strange guy! And a brilliant man.
