I believe they tried the suppression route, and now they are trying the upset condition. Adding actors to both sides will often be enough to trigger legal / law enforcement mechanisms (to cause the chain reaction to flash out).
No guarantee how it will turn out, but whatever you hear in the news won't reflect what is actually going on. E.g. the trucker convoy was a huge success but they tried to hide that success as best as they could.

Right and left are relative terms. "Right" points to individual needs, "left" points to communal needs. Everyone is a centralist (having a ratio of individual and communal needs), but everyone will appear "left" or "right" relative to the status quo.
Is your aspiration for more autonomy relative to the system? That's right. Is your aspiration for more social services relative to the system? That's left.
If you want more individual rights for yourself and more social services provided for you from everyone else, that's not really left or right, and at the same time it is both left and right. The terms don't work well to describe two tier systems where some individuals are part of a protected vs unprotected class.
We need to discard the terms and see the bigger picture.
