"And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations Of The Earth." - Rev 17:5

Your argument is that "Vatican hill" (seer hill) comes from an Etruscan loaner word, a pagan goddess named Vatika.

I presented a link for the etymology that states that the most (scholars, presumably) connect "Vatican" with the Latin "vates", meaning "seer". My link acknowledged your Etruscan origin theory as a position held by a minority.

You rebutted by saying that you think it is referring to the same thing. Basically, you are claiming that even if "Vatican" comes from the Latin word for "seer" that it still is talking about Vatika.

If you take that same type of argument and apply it to scripture, every reference to "CHRONOS" could be construed by a minority to mean that it is actually talking about the Greek god Chronos (keeping in mind that definitive articles are interpolated from the source manuscripts; "a" and "the" are interpolated).

https://www.blueletterbible.org/lexicon/g5550/kjv/tr/0-1/

If you are really sold on the concept that the name "Vatican" venerates and alludes to a pagan goddess, you would also be placing yourself in a position that the New Testament could be venerating and alluding to Greek gods.

Considering the Vatican is known as the "holy see" and Latin is the language of the Catholic church, it follows that "Vatican" coming from the Latin "seer" is more consistent with the facts.

> [Vatika is the harlot]

Many mysteries in Revelation, but you can make a stronger argument for the case that the modern State of Israel is the harlot.

You were either unaware of what the Greek says in the NT, or you didn't think these things through.

Our brain processes 3D images based on the raw inputs. We usually oversimplify what our eyes actually see, and for the sake of conversation call it a 2D array for each eye. But the truth is the eye is a 3D environment that is able detect spacial things like the polarity of light.

> Occlusion

If you looked into a room full of translucent and transparent objects, are you suggesting we have 3D vision regarding those things but not opaque items?

I don't agree with the video's notion that a 2D being would only see 1D, and by extension I don't believe 3D beings only see 2D.

We do see things in 3D. It's called depth perception.

Entertaining musings but the argumentation isn't very strong. And some of his arguments have holes in them.

> I think he addressed this point pretty well in the video.

He didn't address it at all. He just stated that he was counting the words from Genesis to Revelation. You can see while he is counting that the deuterocanon was included in his copy after Revelation.

> Phenomenal

It's an interesting video/concept. It's a great conversation starter. But numerology lends itself to Babylonian teachings / ways of thinkings. It isn't necessarily inherently bad, but it can be misleading and become a stumblingblock.

I wouldn't take the 7^7 KJV argument as a definitive proof that the deuterocanon wasn't inspired, nor that KJV was the best english translation. I like KJV. It's my usual go-to, but this 7^7 argument doesn't move me to accept a KJV-only position.

All of this said, kudos for finding the video and posting it. I may not agree with the implied conclusions drawn from the observations, but the observations themselves are neat.

To use this argument to claim that the Vatican would point towards a pagan goddess/idol is to leave scripture itself open to this same kind of argument. Words like Hades and Chronos appear in scripture. The words express something unrelated to myths and legends that previous cultures attribute to them.

Are you going to claim that the New Testament or not inspired by God because it uses Greek terms that were historically used to refer to different things?

An interesting factoid, but numerological approaches can often lead to problems.

Consider the fact that the original King James Version included several books as a deuterocanon. The "count" to get to 7^7 didn't include the deuterocanon but chose to include the partial numbering system in the word-count.

If you excluded the numbers and then included the deuterocanon, what if that number equalled 7^7? Would KJV only-ists then accept the Deuterocanon as canonical?

Numerology (like this kind of word counting) often creates problems.

Looking at the Hero among Heroes example closer, the evil Prince character initially is presented ambiguously where you aren't sure whether he is good or evil. They have him speaking softer at first to hide the higher pitch, at almost a mid-tone. When it is revealed that he is without a doubt a villain, the high pitch takes hold as his only mode of speaking. It's a type of social cue in story telling for that culture. These cue-conditionings get reinforced in entertainment and other media.

The interesting question is about the types of cuing that Western media uses that we may not even register.
