*Post hoc* lies within the anagram formed by Paul the Octopus. I’d like to know the rest, my faith determinate as that which I am able to accurately predict, like rainfall and the future
The Viceroyals of Spain tasked with the settlement of La Gran Chichimeca believed guerilla and mercenary tactics beneath their heritage and thus attempted to convert the savages via missionary expeditions, agricultural technologies and gold. When all else failed, they eventually relented and (unbeknownst to the crown) employed murderers for hire to meet the utter brutality of the Guachichiles as a turning of the cheek, so to speak — charity and goodwill in one hand, complicity to murder in the other.
This history, unacknowledged by the monarchs of Spain, was the only way to achieve any semblance of peace in the area, which, when combined with generational intermarriage, resulted in the peoples still closely admixed in the region today.
Yes, I appreciate the gravity of your response. My post wasn’t meant to demoralize so much as it was to inspire faith that the machinations of society matter less than the people of the society itself. Democratic processes of leadership selection are important enough to have merit on their own and should be exercised so long as they exist as an option *we allow*
I agree and want to clarify that making the effort of voting is worth it for the opportunistic observation of my peers in a lawful and civil setting, even if the results themselves lately reveal despicable corruption.
The height of empires encompassed kinship amongst the rulers and the ruled, however brief. A golden age must decay — SPQR is real until it is farce
What does it say about a race of people whose only innovative contribution to mankind is to intentionally fuck up a perfectly good thing, charge more for an inferior product, while falsely promoting it as superior, all while denigrating the original as scourge?

You love to see it, but recognize the privilege the other has been enjoying for nearly a century
As am I, and for those that would support it, I’m looking for a cogent response that argues the merits of…whatever this depraved exhibitionism purports itself to be. It’s shocking, sure, but once that wears off, it appears neither sufficiently beautiful to call itself art, nor enjoyable enough to call itself entertainment
It is often forgotten that one’s desire and perspective isn’t wanted or needed, ever, even by those one assumes is on “their side.”
Furthermore, if both parties initially recognize each other as “the enemy,” why begin a conversation at all?
Pacification is for the weak, double speak is for the wicked, and sometimes, in the end of matters, the ruled live by the rules of the rulers. Let your decree be law, and their quiet disregard their fate.
The circumstance I describe is the one you perhaps live in now and is provided as proof of the matter.
At what point then did they begin their agreeableness to your utter dismay at the present?

You are correct. A person should live an exemplary life, *one of their own choosing*, as it provides them access to the direction they wish to go
