Get them removed if your dentists says they will eventually become a problem after looking at your X-rays. Also, if you could find yourself in a situation where you may not have access to medical attention i.e. mission to mars, possible POW, etc. I had mine extracted for one of those reasons…

Not any more. We used to eat much rougher food, which required a lot more chewing, which caused us to have wider jaws. We don't anymore so our wisdom teeth crowd out the other teeth and cause issues.

Just watch out for dry-bone. Take the drugs, hang out and play vidya for a few days. Let everything heal up before doing anything stupid or strenuous.

Never had wisdom teeth. Dentist (he and I had the same dentist while growing up) said they are slowly going away as we (white people) don't need them anymore. Anecdotal, I know, but I trust him

As PW2 said, don't do anything which will cause Dry Socket, that shit hurts. No drinking with straws, no hard /crunchy foods.

Best thing about not having them to begin with, all the wisdom I ever had is still in my head.

how long is dry socket a concern? life long or just short term after removal?

It's how they will find your DNA inside it after 5000 years and clone it, sure that is needed, silly.

They're better out than in.

When I got mine removed the put me under for it. As I'm waking up the dental hygienist with a huge rack was leaning over me telling me she had a prescription of Percocet filled for me. I really thought I died and went to heaven for a minute.

Keep them for the stem-cells- doesn't have to be in your mouth still.

Get them extracted if they are going to destroy your other molars by coming in sideways or too crowded.

Better than infection

Just make sure you don't smoke after otherwise you'll get dry tooth, super painful. Stay home, breath through your nose and you'll be fine.
