Florida Natives, What Is This Thing?

The wife and I finally saw an alligator in the wild. Then my friend noticed this Capybara/Rabbit hybrid looking thing. While I am assuming it is pareidolia, the face does look symmetrical. This was taken in a suburb between Jacksonville and St. Augustine.

I went back after work and it wasn’t there. Unfortunately I’m now questioning whether the first wild alligator we saw in our area isn’t the pond equivalent of a scarecrow. I have nothing left to believe in

I went into the backyard one night at a friends and heard a loud hiss and growl. Sure enough it was an 8 foot gator who thought he was gonna eat me but found out a terrible reality

There are 3 things I want to do while I live here in FL (the wife wants to move back to Iowa. She says the nigger’s entitlement level here is too high):
1. Go on a gator hunt and smoke the meat
2. Go on a hog hunt
3. Go deep sea fishing
Everyone that I ask about doing these activities declines for some reason.

Weather is far better there than anywhere in Iowa. Waukee went from -17F to 102F while I was there.

It’s wild the amount of temperature variance in Iowa. People in FL didn’t believe me when I said it’s just as hot if not hotter in Iowa during the summers, average temperature is close to 90 with 90% humidity and absolutely zero breeze. Winter gets to -30 ambient. Utterly insane.

People don't get how much crops affect the atmosphere...and how many crips cover the state.

Seeing an outbreak of over a dozen tornadoes during the evening rush hour was sweet...WHO13 panning traffic cameras showing all the different ones happening.

Try the Blue Ridge mountains...more like Iowans without all the extreme wintery bullshit.

Still mad about tow bans.

I live in Appalachia and its the same way. Our summers are seriously hot and humid, -Its like a damn jungle. Our winters are like northern Canada. Cold like a MF and deep snow. Our fall will blow your mind. Our spring is great. I'm a 4 seasons kind of guy. but I do get sick of the cold and snow after a while and take a little trip to paradise. But I will say, one of my fav things is a dark, snowy night. I also love when all the leaves are on and green and full and sitting in my back yard chilling.

I went on a fishing trip in the Bermuda Triangle. I don't want to do it again. Storms can come from out of nowhere and shit get hairy real quick. I'm done with deep sea fishing. I don't like the thoughts I get when out there even though the fishing is amazing. I do boat a lot on lakes and rivers. I'm not getting eaten by fuckin sharks. No sir. Hog hunting is fun. I done it from a heli and on the ground. Love it. I go visit some fam once in a while and do it til I'm sick of it. Don't like how they taste though. As far as gators, I've ate some. Sometimes they're good and other times nasty af. IDK why that is. Somebody probabl ytold me after I was deep into a case of beer but who knows. lol
