Colour is auburn, combination of red and brown…, same as my mom when she was young, same as my beard before it turned grey.

That style of folk/"peasant" embroidery could be from any region in Eastern Europe and Russia. Simple patterns like that were shared and adopted by neighboring cultures as people moved, tastes changed, and people were routinely exposed to different styles and methods.

I spotted some pretty red hair while shopping for groceries. Rolled my cart in her direction to get a look at her face.., pretty for her age, few years younger than I so rolled my cart even closer.., then she opened her mouth to speak with her friend…, Ukrainian. Damn it, now I feel like I just bit into a plumb full of maggots…puke.
