I've been dropping stupid pointless Tom Robbins references in things for decades, and you're literally the first to acknowledge this. I salute thee!
Jitterbug Perfume was better, though. In my ever so humble opinion. And I only read like half of Cowgirls before I just lost interest and... probably got drunk or something.

And you too, sir. I recall I noticed some of your oblique references and allusions, but just smiled and moved on.
I enjoy ridiculous lists, like the kind Rabelais would pack into his Gargantua books, and I think Tom Robbins, whimsical lad he is, fancies that too. I surmise this from what he wrote in "Still Life with Woodpecker" where he described an improbable list of things that were removed from the nether apertures of inmates at a juvenile prison. The first time I read it, I literally slid from my chair laughing.
The way that works: "they" remove 20 boxes of material. 21 boxes show up at FBI headquarters, no one had kept count, no one knows that there was an extra box or if they did, where it came from. That box contains treasonous material "proving" Trump is a traitor.

But yeah! You have splendid literary tastes.

"They" literally did something similar to this with journalist Sheryl Atkinson when someone broke into her house and planted top secret illegal to have material on her laptop, and she barely caught it. Turned out they'd planted chit on multiple devices she owned.

The FBI also considered planting Child Porn on her husbands laptop (per FBI informant) when Obama had weaponized them. https://fbicorruption.news/2022-05-15-investigative-journalist-sharyl-attkisson-fbi-planting-evidence-husbands-laptop.html
