Thinking about buying a Hellcat MicroCompact

I am ignorant with guns but I have a need to protect myself. Nig has been fucking with me, don't feel safe. Been eyeing this handgun for it's small size. Made in Croatia. Is it any good?

Bought one and had it near a year.
Easily run 500 thru it.
This guy comes out and I run it thru a few hundred rounds.
It carries well,isnt ammo picky.
Maybe two jams in 500 rounds from mag dumping.

You'll be fine; these guys are nuts. It's not super grippy, but you can get the rubber sticker kits pretty cheap if need be. A woman could successfully conceal it. Wouldn't call it pocketable though.

So you are a beginner. I wouldn't actually recommend the micro anything as they will jump and be difficult to shoot. Std frame 1911 aluminum would be my recommendation. Springfield makes several and I know a woman that appendix carries one. I like the steef frames but it is personal preference and I carry very rarely.

I've owned a m&p shield in the past and have been shooting. I sold it as I needed the money. I want something I can carry in my pocket. It's legal to do so in my state.

The m&p is real popular, I just don't like em. I have a 380 ppks and that would fit in your pocket. Steel frame too.

The Hellcat is slightly smaller and is 9mm and about $400-$500 cheaper. My only concern is it potentially jamming up. I don't know if it's a reliable gun because I don't know much about guns. The reviews look positive though. No one has said anything bad about it, so I think I'll go for it.

You aren't looking for feedback, you are looking for feelings. Go to reddit. It will probably jam 1 in 250 and you will accept that risk because you have already purchased the gun, you are just trying to find a supplier. Why even ask?

You haven't convinced me why the firearm I am interested in is shit. I haven't purchased it yet. I posted this for opinions and information. You suggested some firearms, which I appreciate, but you haven't explained why I should go with it over the Hellcat. I may just get another m&p shield because it has a similar profile to the Hellcat and I'm familiar with it.

Yeah, it will do fine. I didn't realize they were from SA. SA is a good brand, I love my operator. Probably too snappy for my enjoyment but it will be a good gun. There is no safety switch so don't shoot your dick off.

Way I see it, if a random dog attacked me, I wouldn’t want to shoot a dog and discharge a firearm in city limits. Pepper spray can hit at a distance and subdue the dog. Although most dogs I’ve met have been friendly.
