It was able to axe a bunch of crap in the context of executively-funded projects (mostly USAID), stuff which one signature can shut down within 24 hours. Also exposed stuff like the mineshaft paperwork system and that building with oil paintings of employees.

It became clear that the traitors in congress will never pass cuts outside of that though, or only as a larger package which also spends twice as much. The whole government has been set up over decades to be impervious to cuts and accountability.

I dont know if doge failed or not. But USAID provided grants by fiscal year so those grants would still be paid out until october 2025.
