I looked into it a little and looks like some people have been reporting issues like you for about a year. I would say to check to make sure your browser is up to date first. You can check through the settings related to ad-blocking but really Brave should be good to go without messing with it too much. I use uBlock Origin browser extension which might be beneficial. Sorry, I am barely functional with computers. Good luck!
