Whey Protein. What's goats' opinions?

submitted by CoronaHoax to PimsGym 1 dayJun 10, 2025 21:59:40 ago (+9/-0)     (PimsGym)

Absolutely disgusting mixed as a drink. I don't see how anyone can eat this daily let alone multiple times.

However mixed and cooked in with a soup, not that bad. Actually made it taste better.

Sal_180 prefers his protein intake derived from pubescent lads.

Shalom, pedophile faggot

I heard Sal_180 admit to this in person

[ - ] xmasskull 0 points 1 dayJun 11, 2025 01:44:55 ago (+0/-0)

You & Sal_180 are "guzzler" buddies! YIKES!

Why does that faggot post on here? Not a person will admit to liking him that I have seen. I can only presume jew.

And subversion.

Gotta blend it with some ice and water with peanut butter and a banana. That's all it takes to make the shittiest protein powder taste good.

[ - ] Zyklonbeekeeper 1 point 1 dayJun 10, 2025 22:31:53 ago (+1/-0)

Exactly....peanut butter and banana is a perfect blend with protein powder....I'll even pack a bunch of blueberries into a protein mix...just a point of interest, back in my hockey days all we had was Ovaltein, an hr before lacing up I would mix 2 raw eggs, a banana and a heaping tblspn of honey into a measure of Ovaltein with warm water, everything went into the blender and I'd gulp it down...I did it religiously for about 10years, no matter how big of a dinner I had...other guys would cook up a steak but the only drawback to that is that cooked food before a game always leaves one to want excessive water during the game and water will slow down movement.
But protein is vital to strength.

MOAR WALL OF TEXT!

Does sound good thanks!

Peanut has wild amounts of calories though no?

[ - ] Trope 1 point 12 hoursJun 11, 2025 22:17:30 ago (+1/-0)

Garbage. Eat beef.

If you want to spike your insulin, add rice or unrefined carbohydrates.

Had a fat friend who was on a stupid calorie restriction diet. Started spiking his insulin with a protein shake that lacked the satiety of dietary fat. Two years later: He is still fat.

[ - ] CoronaHoax [op] 1 point 12 hoursJun 11, 2025 22:21:54 ago (+1/-0)

Beef definitely 'makes me fat'. Just is what it is.

Just got my 'composition scale' tonight. So I can begin actually tracking what works and doesn't work.

[ - ] Trope 0 points 10 hoursJun 11, 2025 23:34:51 ago (+0/-0)

That’s an interesting observation. What are you eating with the beef?

In my experience, beef and salt only is a fast way to get lean. Carnivore diets are difficult to uphold long term.

[ - ] CoronaHoax [op] 0 points 9 hoursJun 12, 2025 00:54:44 ago (+0/-0)

Just a plain steak. I can straight up feel myself getting fatter lol. Chicken and seafood seem to work better for me. But now that I've got this scale I can see what really works over a week's time etc.. Looks like I'm starting off 20-24% bf lol.

Looking at google...

beef appears to be 250 calories / 26g protein per 100 g

chicken appears to be 240 calories / 26g protein per 100 g

salmon appears to be 210 calories / 26g protein per 100 g

shrimp appears to be 100 calories / 26g protein per 100 g

no whey, man.

[ - ] TheOriginal1Icemonkey 2 points 1 dayJun 10, 2025 22:38:48 ago (+2/-0)

Do it after a workout. Pure whey only, no jewish “muscle milk”.

[ - ] CoronaHoax [op] 1 point 12 hoursJun 11, 2025 22:24:44 ago (+1/-0)

Pure whey is probably my next one! I got a whey + soy lecithin one this round to start / try... That was the one with the least ingredients at the store..

[ - ] TheOriginal1Icemonkey 0 points 9 hoursJun 12, 2025 01:17:10 ago (+0/-0)

Never soy anything. Get the real stuff. Pure whey.

[ - ] Spitsmonsters 2 points 1 dayJun 10, 2025 22:32:59 ago (+2/-0)

Whey protein isolate, my favorite is Isopure. I assume you're using it as a supplement. Best to rely on whole foods and then supplement to meet your protein goal. Good luck.

[ - ] CoronaHoax [op] 1 point 1 dayJun 10, 2025 22:53:28 ago (+1/-0)

That's the one I got awesome thanks! Was looking for any one they had that didn't have any extra stuff so I could use it for cooking (currently I'm putting a meal in the pressure cooker then just blending it afterwards with tomato sauce, was making these meals with the recent wisdom teeth removal).

Not super excited it seems to have soy in it (wtf?). Wouldn't estrogen go against muscle growth? Why tf they do that? However definitely liking it's just the whey without whatever the poisonous heck flavoring etc.

Dairy by-product

[ - ] CoronaHoax [op] 0 points 1 dayJun 11, 2025 09:38:24 ago (+0/-0)

weird....

[ - ] No_way_oy_vey 1 point 1 dayJun 10, 2025 23:03:34 ago (+1/-0)

Highly insuligenic for anyone concerned with metabolic health. If you're fit and active I suppose it ain't bad for you to have 25g a day to boost intake, but focus on eating real foods like meat for the bulk of your protein needs.

Don't be a lazy nigger, bulk cook meat so you'll have it around and you eat that instead of some processed garbage instead.

[ - ] CoronaHoax [op] 0 points 1 dayJun 10, 2025 23:37:02 ago (+0/-0)

I only plan to use one or two cups of this max per day. Even though I'd supposedly need like 5 per day to meet the "required protein amount" lol.

[ - ] chump 1 point 1 dayJun 10, 2025 22:56:28 ago (+1/-0)

Good stuff. take it after every workout. NOW brand. Actually tastes pretty good. No crap in it either.

[ - ] i_scream_trucks 0 points 1 dayJun 11, 2025 04:46:33 ago (+0/-0)

Put baggie on scales and zero em.

Fill baggie

Put baggie back on scale.

Job done.

[ - ] Crackinjokes 0 points 1 dayJun 11, 2025 01:15:59 ago (+0/-0)

Probably one of the better ones because unlike wheat and soy and all these other protein sources way comes from milk and so it's not been exposed to a bunch of pesticides that have been sprayed on it. And a lot of people think milk and milk protein are the purest forms of food because obviously they're the only food that a baby needs to grow very rapidly and develop in a very healthy way.

[ - ] germ22 0 points 1 dayJun 10, 2025 23:18:18 ago (+0/-0)

Something about hydrolyzed whey protein is better for you than other whey protein. I looked it up a while ago and it seemed to make sense.

[ - ] SumerBreeze 2 points 1 dayJun 10, 2025 23:32:45 ago (+2/-0)

Hydrolyzed or isolate helps you build muscle and lose weight because it’s more “pure” protein without all the other nutrients that milk has.

So it’s not better - being stripped of all those delicious nutrients that will also help you gain weight - it’s just more pure and should be used if you want to keep your mass down and keep your muscle gain more efficient.

[ - ] CoronaHoax [op] 1 point 12 hoursJun 11, 2025 22:27:06 ago (+1/-0)

Definitely looking to keep muscle mass up to keep metabolism up... to burn off more calories per day by default.. So seems like a high protein to calorie rate is desirable. Whey seems to do that.

[ - ] SumerBreeze 0 points 4 hoursJun 12, 2025 05:39:09 ago (+0/-0)

Yes whey protein is better for men, isolate is better for fatties and women.

[ - ] Peleg 0 points 1 dayJun 10, 2025 22:51:01 ago (+0/-0)

You gotta have it with curds. Just keep an eye out for those danged spiders!

[ - ] bobdole9 0 points 1 dayJun 10, 2025 22:18:05 ago (+0/-0)

https://www.costco.com/fairlife-nutrition-plan-30g-protein-shake-chocolate-115-fl-oz-18-pack.product.100727293.html

So far Fairlife is the only one that doesn't leave me feeling shitty. Conviently, it has no soy. Not saying there's a connection...

I am unsure if you're solely looking down the powder route.

[ - ] observation1 0 points 1 dayJun 10, 2025 22:25:37 ago (+0/-0)

How does sweetened milk contain 3x protein as just milk alone?

[ - ] bobdole9 0 points 1 dayJun 10, 2025 23:01:17 ago (+0/-0)

My guess is they add condensed milk, not for certain.

[ - ] CoronaHoax [op] 0 points 1 dayJun 10, 2025 22:56:04 ago (+0/-0)

I like the powder route because it seems like a good choice for adding into sauces / soups / blended food ya. Would prefer the taste be as neutral as possible as to not change the taste of the food it's added to.
