...and what if, after a century of scorn, it was the lack of weed that limited potential and contributed immensely to the many psychological defects that so many are afflicted with today?
We were taking finals in a really hard math class, with a shit teacher. He basically lined the class up for slaughter, they had no chance.
I helped this one dude study, he failed anyway, I was not surprised by this. but he was very upset, he followed the math teacher into the parking lot. I advised him that this was not going to improve his grade by assaulting the professor.
He was so pissed off, ranting and raving. He drinks, does not smoke weed. Gave him a taste of some high grade indica. and everyone lived happily ever after (srsly, he would have killed that tiny teacher if he hit him)
If he had started drinking, he probably would have ended up hurting someone. This is what people call normal. There are lots of him. I wont be like them, I dont think its normal.
(I got a B on the test, Discreet Mathematics (its not THAT hard, but the teacher really was shit))
Our asshole teacher literally just wrote the book on the board each day and basically left the room. No one was supposed to pass, because the next class was realtime 3d engine design, and they couldn't afford or find anyone to teach it. After this class, they told us we had to pick new majors, there were only 6 of us left and they called us in to meet the dean. I moved to another campus in Nevada, that did have the classes for my major.
I had a great teacher for discrete 2, a german guy. He was published in the math and genetics fields (cuz combinatorics). That was as close to an enjoyable math class as it gets for me. I think I got an A.
We had assignments that were in C++. He never read them. I asked him why we all just 100% on them (even if we uploaded the same thing over and over). He said because he cant grade them because he doesnt know C++
humans evolved to be better on weed! Our natural state of mind is deficient without it!
Trying to thing of any reason why this might make sense in any universe. Nope. The human brain performs optimally with no addictive drugs added to it. Your belief that its otherwise is probably because of your addiction.
It's already happening in every legal state. Stoners are next level idiots at my summer house in the Ozarks. 45-75+ all running the red eye filter waiting on the newest Doritoe flavor to hit Dollar General next town over LOL!
It turns some people into schizophrenics. Theres plenty of evidence of that.
For the high anxiety sociopath crowd (hi),
Are there a lot of high anxiety sociopaths? Sounds like an oxymoron.
Weed was very bad for my anxiety. Its not good for anxiety unless youre addicted and experiencing anxiety because youre in withdrawal. I used to have the same belief about alcohol. But alcohol was in fact exacerbating my anxiety.
Have you folks forgotten the old peaceful wise man who smokes weed?
I feel that the more of our economy we devote toward the production and distribution of weed, alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, etc, the less efficient our economy becomes and the more people are engaging in parasitic livings rather than producing something useful. Addictive drugs make people ill and dysfunctional so its literally destroying labor resources.
I dont care about "the scene" I just dont want to be prohibited from exercising my own judgement on the matter for personal use.
Everybody thinks their own judgment is good and reasonable. Because theyre stupid. We can’t trust people to excercise their judgment with heroin. Weed is the same problem. Its a difference in degree, not kind.
The more we limit these economically inefficient behaviors, the more prosperous and healthy we will be as a nation. Personal liberty is a crock. It infringes on my right to live in a society not crippled by drug use.
Different strains of weed have different effects. Sativas and strains with enough sativa in them tend to be more trippy and anxiety provoking, while indicas tend to have more of a body effect. (i.e. 'couch lock')
Not that you should indulge again, but saying "marijuana has X effect" is an inaccurate generalization. Some types do have X effects, other types have a different effect.
Note that commercial weed is sold by weight, with less emphasis on which or what combinations of the 30 different effects weed can possess. The casual user is just getting "weed", like if you went to a restaurant that was offering "food".
Yeah I know all about THC/CBD ratios. THC makes me paranoid. I can avoid that dread level anxiety by not smoking weed. I smoked alot of different weed. It all made me anxious unless I was drinking. I had to drink (more) just to smoke. Im a slow learner but eventually I decided it was not worth it. Also made me feel “petrified” i.e. unable to move.

For the high anxiety sociopath crowd (hi), it's quite useful.
Responsible use and all that.
That said, I think the OP makes a fair observation.
Lots of folks who smoke weed, are not my kind.
Have you folks forgotten the old peaceful wise man who smokes weed?
We had plenty of em in my day. Now its just niggers and mexicans.

The only real effect was I didn't have the release, which I found detrimental.
Once I was able to, picked it back up, still works.
I also dont use it all the time. Never while driving.
Maybe some people can be helped by it.
That would make it a medicine with valid uses that is susceptible to abuse.
I am not saying abuse does not happen, it does occur easily and honestly thats how most people use it.

Perfectly happy to grow my own.
Marijauna isn't addictive, its just so fucking nice, ppl tend to go back.
You can have too much of anything.
I dont care about "the scene" I just dont want to be prohibited from exercising my own judgement on the matter for personal use.
Stop me from cigs, stop me from caff, stop me from booze, I understand.
Take away my weed, now you're just being a dick.
