3 young kids

Life is better when someone gets Saturday to sleep in, then the other gets Sunday to sleep in.

Doesn't matter if it's the weekend, young kids will always be up. Middle likes to be up by 5:30.

Can you just continue to sleep while they play or read quietly?

Sleeping in usually lasts until 8am.

Whoever is up is the designated caretaker. Breakfast, play, generally easy mornings happen when only one parent is present.

the working person sleeps in.even when I did work I was the one up. Whoever makes the most gets to sleep in.

She doesn't need to be submissive, she just needs to agree that I'm always right most of the time.

* well, except for floor tile choices, paint, curtains, carpet vs. hardwood, the color of shirt I wear, how I address her sister and not call her a fucking bitchfaced cunt to her face, healthy vs. good food(they aren't the same, who knew?) and maybe one or two other things but that's definitely it.

Hardwood is right or get the fuck out.

[ - ] Gowithit 1 point 2 hoursJun 9, 2025 19:15:46 ago (+1/-0)

carpet is an argument waiting to happen.

[ - ] registereduser 0 points 2 hoursJun 9, 2025 19:58:46 ago (+0/-0)

Nope, it is a get the fuck out.

Don’t worry this is not what you think it is.

Its exactly what I think it is. Downvoted for trying to spread mental illness.

its not a mental illness its a game. A game I refuse to play but a game nonetheless.

[ - ] PostWallHelena -2 points 2 hoursJun 9, 2025 19:43:56 ago (+0/-2)

No its mental. Some gals really internalize this nonsense.

Shoe on the other foot, would you not want some of this attention reciprocated?

You have a big project - would "how could I help?" not be useful?

My wife and I have our days on the weekend where one sleeps in and the other deals with the feral progeny however early they wake up.

Straw man. Offering to help your spouse is not being submissive.

[ - ] Gowithit 0 points 45 minutesJun 9, 2025 21:21:58 ago (+0/-0)

its not

[ - ] PostWallHelena 0 points 19 minutesJun 9, 2025 21:47:41 ago (+0/-0)

Its not a straw man or its not being submissive?

[ - ] bobdole9 0 points 49 minutesJun 9, 2025 21:17:45 ago (+0/-0)

Is the issue the word "submissive"?

[ - ] Gowithit -1 points 45 minutesJun 9, 2025 21:21:39 ago (+0/-1)

submissive gets you walked on or divorced.

[ - ] bobdole9 1 point 27 minutesJun 9, 2025 21:39:31 ago (+1/-0)

I'm really just trying to understand what was said that is offensive.

Greeted at the door is nonsense. Figure out how to offload shit tasks from each other doesn't seem awful. Let her do her thing, and I do my thing when it comes to packing for travel is something we already do. She knows I pack the vehicle, she says which bag needs to be easily accessable or not.

What do you find confusing? That women might object to being forced to submit to someone else’s will as much as you? Or that I object to an article that tries to pretend submission is something other than it is?

Is the expectation that men would not do the same for their wife?

forced to submit to someone else’s will as much as you

Funny, since getting married, we've lived in six states. Had I stayed single, I would have stayed in my home state.
