Fuck both Lennon and Yoko. Lennon was hardly a deep thinker. He was a fucking commie, and all you need to know about him is his song "Imagine", yet even he didn't believe a word in it because he lived contrary to his own philosophy. Glad that guy is dead.

Oh, there certainly were, but few had the reach and audience that Lennon had. Nixon rightly saw Lennon as a malign presence in the US and wanted him deported, and US Immigration mostly felt the same way through the 70s, although by the time he was shot, they were on the verge of allowing him citizenship. It's a shame no one could have shot him sooner.
