There were several instances where the author mentioned that JavaScript is great for I/O heavy web apps, but the other languages are better for sequential operations, which is absolutely true, but it's important to point out that in industrial settings I/O heaviness is everywhere, but even then, by far the most common method of handling that is through the use of PLCs which rely on ladder logic programming (typically...), an entirely different approach to programming.

From what I have seen, Deno really does fix a lot of those complaints. I've stayed away from the entire Javascript ghetto ecosystem for decades but I'm finding Deno to be pretty good on its own. Not just "good for a Javascript variant."

EDIT: Ok, that isn't fair. Perl and bash are the things people should be using. WMI and powershell are good too but if you can, run Strawberry Perl on Windows and get it over with.
