the problem is prostitution is that it ruins the prostitutes life and makes it nearly impossible for her to find a good protector and mate. a woman engaging in prostitution likely has no other options. i find that to be too sad a circumstance to be a part of.

Thats only one problem with prostitution. Prostitution becomes necessary when there are not enough marriageable females. This often happens in countries with high wealth disparity due to corruption. Poor men will have to put off marriage for longer and longer, usually resorting to prostitutes to endure wifelessness. The solution to the problem is for poorer men to overthrow the elites, but prostitution is a tool that elites use to pacify lower status males.

Pre-1940's dating in White Christian culture was far different. "Courtship" was specifically designed to weed out unfit suitors, and help build lasting relationships.
