I figured it out. He gassed it when his front wheel was already in flight. He needed to be off the throttle at launch.

There still would have been a hard thud but would have given him a chance avoiding being bucked.

Hitting the throttle mid flight on a dirtbike brings the front end up. It’s the centripetal force of the rear tire and its inertia that causes it. Conversely, hitting the brakes brings the front down for the same reason. So if anything, him smashing that like button “helped” him.

Torque. The word you're looking for is torque. Centripetal force is what causes things rotating about a point to feel acceleration toward that point.

Hitting the throttle brings the front end up because the inertia of the wheel lags behind the torque of the engine. Same thing that happens if you gas it too hard from a stop and the front end pops up.

Torque is force applied, the rotational inertia is what the torque is being applied to. Or, like i said the inertia trapped in the wheel. The torque comes from the rotational inertia of the wheel during mid air braking. In hindsight the centripetal force may not be the correct term for this but it 100% is the rotational inertia of the wheel that is either applying the torque, or having the torque being applied to. Without that inertia, there would be no force to act upon. So, yeah thanks for the clarification and I hope what I said here makes what I said up there make sense.

Weight distribution/throttle control. On a bicycle you just position your weight over the back wheel and then shift your weight. On a dirt bike you can also use the throttle to affect your momentum.
