I am a self-employed finish carpenter, electrician, tiler, painter, drywaller, flooring guy, appliance installer, etc. 35+ years in, make good bux. Mostly work for rich boomer retirees. AI aint gonna replace my crusty ass. Can robots do it someday? Maybe in 10 years. By then I will probably be dead. If not, I will tend bar, or become a hobo.
I also play various instruments with a few bands a few times a month. Live music has slowed down but will never die, esp. in tourist areas. AI can suck my fat hawg.
Yes and no. There is so much shit info online, and AI cannot discern. But like all new inventions, it will get better and better. It has already replaced lots of paralegals, just in the research area. Graphic artists have no future. Songwriters. Etc. Lots of office work could be done by AI.
But we don’t need paralegals or graphic artists in this society. Those are rent seeking behaviors that don’t produce wealth. Economically they are jew adjacent. If we killed all the paralegals we’d be better off as a society whether we replaced them with AI or not. Same with songwriters.
Sorry I was not thorough. Lawyers are an even better group to kill off than paralegals.
We only “need lawyers” because other lawyers exist. Lawyers create reams of complex legal code to force people to pay them to navigate it. Passing a law forbidding people from making money as lawyers is the best way to simplify the legal code.
The point being, lawyers aint goin away. Neither is graphic art or music. In fact, AI might replace LAWYERS, maybe even judges and juries. Impossible? Who could judge more fairly than a cold machine? 'Defendant Shaniqua, you are guilty'---'AH DINDU NUFFIN WRONG!'---'the evidence shows you did'---'YOO IZ RAYCISS!'---'impossible, now go to prison'.
AI judge would have the entire case history of the US at instant recall, and all the laws. I think there is a good case to be made for it. Problem: WHO owns the AI? A nigger would find a way to inject a pro-nigger bias, etc. Perhaps a panel of 3 AI judges, with different OS? I don't know.
I think the potential of AI is way underestimated.
AI can play more games of chess in an hour than you could play in a lifetime. No human will ever be able to beat AI at chess ever again. A thousand AI doctors can each see patients 24/7/365 and can simultaneously share what they learn from each patient's diagnosis and treatment. In a week AI can see more patients than a human doctor could in their entire lifetime. AI machines fighting fires can fight every fire and learn from every fire better ways to put out fires. AI can instantly access a map of every building and every chemical compound. No firefighter will ever be as efficient at fighting fires as AI will become. When AI picks its first apple off it's first tree, it will only ever become progressively better at picking apples. AI can monitor fruit 24/7/365, it can pick each and every bug off of every piece of fruit, no chemicals will be needed. It will grow each fruit perfectly. It won't need to wash its hands after using a porta-potty out in the apple orchard. AI fruit will be clean, pesticide free, perfectly formed, unbruised and unblemished. The first fully automated Amazon factory will only result in every Amazon factory being eventually automated. AI will become better than any human ever could be at managing factories as it will manage hundreds 24/7/365 and learn from every single package shipped.
A person may be a great carpenter, electrician, tiler, painter, drywaller or flooring guy, but who is going to be the customers; firefighters, orchard workers, doctors, factory workers?
Google didn't just introduce Veo 3 last week, wiping out tens of thousands of jobs in Advertising overnight, they have developed real time speech translation, https://youtu.be/hyXqcsWOONo, which will wipe out hundreds of thousands of jobs.
Lol. The last guy I dated for a while was so doom and gloom about AI. He would spiral into crippling depression about how it was taking over everything. He’d legitimately disappear for days at a time and not be able to leave his bed because of it. He was a creative director who was making excellent money and let his wacky mind get the best of him. Too much for this dingbat.
Very sad, but typical of modern 'men' raised by feminists. I fear nothing and no one.
Just like petroleum killed the whale oil industry, AI will destroy certain fields of human labor. But we will adjust. The whale oil people went into the Earth oil business, or found other work. But back then it was a big deal. Lots of doom and gloom.
We will not adjust, there will not be new jobs. The arrogance to believe that a human can compete against a machine that can do the same job a thousand times faster 24/7/365 is delusional cope. Maybe preach your gospel to the hundreds of thousands of people about to lose their jobs, https://youtu.be/hyXqcsWOONo
UBI and mass covert sterilization and/or biowarfare by the various governments across the world.
After a series of outbreaks that happen once every 5-10 years, each a new or 'mutant' strain of a prior, killing off another 10% of the remaining population each time. Then "children of men" gets way too real due to the vaccinations forced as a response to said outbreaks.
By 2100-2500 (depending on the rate of global destabalization) you're at 350-700 million people (max) world-wide.
This is how it will happen because this is how I would do it if I ran the world and was a total psychopath. Just enough mass death to scare the shit out society and radically shift it without risking total loss of control for global powers.
The fear of automation has hung over my profession since long before AI. Been hearing it for 20 years now. Ten years ago there was a panic because it seemed as though it was happening (Theranos). Look how that turned out, lol.
AI in its current form isn't going to affect much with jobs that deal with in-situ tasks.
The problem then becomes whether you can outsource chunks of work. Prefab homes, etc can can a huge portion of the work away, even if it doesn't take everything. And eventually you could automate prefabs with robots. You'll never completely remove the human component but you can significantly reduce worm opportunity.
The more robustly advanced this automation becomes, instead of needing 100 carpenters, maybe it's down to 50, etc.
A computer code can’t be written to be absolutely random. That’s why AI isn’t real. If you don’t understand that point then you don’t understand computers. Most trade workers will be ok. I’ll be wiping my tears with $100s while others wipe their ass with the bachelor degree.
Mainly entry-level. Secretaries, appointment booking, research, lots of cubicle drones can be replaced by software already. In 5 years most will be gone.
Then how do I have a waiting list of people begging me to work for them? I am booked for the next 7-9 months easy. Videos can give you a basic idea, but you also must have the time, tools, energy, strength, and CONFIDENCE to do the work. I am currently remodeling a gutted 3 story house by myself, with the 'help' of a beaner plumber that is slow as fuck. AI cannot do what I do, neither can videos.
Or, I'm charging CORRECTLY because repeat customers know I am not a gouger, and show up on time, sober, and do the work correctly, and charge a fair price, compared to other quotes. I know what I'm doing.
King of Shit Mountain over here is glad he'll be replaced by brown people instead of robots. At least you can die gloating over other White men about something.
I live in a superWhite expensive beach area. Since the Blump crackdown there are barely any brownies to be seen. Hardware stores in the mornings are ghost towns.
