What's more believable, Risky Business Vs The Girl Next Door

submitted by Conspirologist to Polls 3 daysMay 31, 2025 13:14:23 ago (+0/-5)     (Polls)

Both movies are classic examples of Hollywood subversion for teens.

In Risky Business (1983), a moron falls in love with a prostitute.

In The Girl Next Door (2004), a moron falls in love with a porn actress.

Difference between the two situations:

1 The prostitute is gorgeous, but the moron doesn't know she is obeying a pimp.

2 The porn actress looks like a throw away slut with dyed hair, but has no pimp.

What situation is more believable?

Haven't seen either movie but I can imagine somewhere out there each premise has actually happened in some way.

If "more believable" means "more likely" the question boils down to whether a slutty woman has a pimp or not. In the modern day that's a hard one to answer. Onlyfans is a prominent service that is for generating pornography and is arguably a form of prostitution. Services like Onlyfans also arguably function as a pimp where the CEO makes record profits. The use of these services to facilitate the exchange is more prominent than not, therefore it follows that "Risky Business" is the "more believable" story.

neither one of those whore's is believable due to the undisclosed ever present drug use this industry is always a slave to.

I think all of the whores in Risky Business overtly used coke, weed, and alcohol in the film.
