Remind me how often now has one (or many) laws of physics been changed since its inception? I forget! Being a so-called scientist is being able to make definitive pronouncements at will, then later altering or scrapping them entirely, all the while demanding unwavering faith in the accuracy of the source.

It defies the laws of physics because the height of the marbles after flying up is higher than the bottom of the funnel.
Conservation of energy says that without any external forces (added power or friction) an object will return the same height - not be propelled upwards like the video shows.
Most likely some sort of powered mechanism is flinging the marbles higher.

Unless it is an electromagnet that is exactly timed, the energy gained pulling the marble closer will be lost as the magnet pulls the marble back after it passes. Conservation of energy again. The same bowling ball experiment can be set up with magnets.
Presuming the system will continue forever like that, where would the energy be extracted from without losing the motion of the system?
The best place would be to construct a "ferris wheel" catch mechanism above the funnel use the rotation of the ferris wheel to power a generator. That would probably take a lot of perfect timing, and it seems like the marbles are just a bit out of a perfect formation due to the entering of the funnel.
It has a battery and a bunch of sensors in it. Ball goes through a hall sensor a couple of magnets fire on and off in sequence and accellerate the metal ball enough to hit the scoop.
Put a glass marble in it and kick yourself in the ass.
No. As the metal object moves towards the magnet it gains energy, but as it moves away from the magnet it loses energy in the exact same magnitude. The friction on the rails takes energy to overcome both ways, so less overall momentum is generated moving towards the magnet as is removed moving away from the magnet.
There are no perpetual motion machines.
And take a good look. The balls at the top of the ramp are moving way too fast to attribute it to gravity.

Sadly you are right. Here is another with a thinner base, but with battery propulsion.

Additonally the ball-bearing has momentum before it even enters the chute.

It looks like gravity, and perhaps even a small magnet at the base are being used to propel the ball bearings back into the dish.

"But how do ypu charge the battery?"
How do you charge the batteries in an old watch? You dont. You replace them. Not all batteries are rechargeable.

Perpetual motion is nothing but a sci fi trope.
Reality doesnt allow it.
