I just bought a $38 dollar fried rice in NYC

It wasn’t even better than my $15 fried rice at home. Which I thought was already expensive (but excellent as heaven).

Really turned me off to NYC to pay more than double for less quality.

It’s actually happened the past 3 or 4 times I’ve come now. But normally the price was 50% more not 2.5x.

Hopefully you didn’t get the “pork” fried rice.
After enough soy sauce and MSG a fresh sewer rat looks and tastes like pork…
