A friend of mine brought by a baby deer she found abandoned today

She found it alone and mommy deer never came back(probably hit by a car) so my friend is raising it. Its tiny. She said it sleeps at the foot of the bed with the cat. lol The little shit is playful and jumps around and is not scared of humans at all.

Fawns are regularly "abandoned" by their mothers, but they're not really abandoned. They are hidden for their safety, and mom knows where they are.
What your friend is doing is likely illegal according to your state laws, and could get him in fairly serious trouble.

Best case is he's taking illegal (too young) wild game out of season without a license, and there are likely a bunch of other statutes he's violating as well.

commies are just the worst. at the current state of things, deer are as plentiful as liberals. i raised a fawn once because my dad hit it's mom with a tractor. we fixed him up and he was out the door right as rain. we'll steward nature as best we can, because God left us in charge of it. big brother can suck it.

As a kid we’d find fawns near death in fire ant piles in the Texas hill country. Bottlefed a few. They become pretty affectionate actually. They didn’t really have a problem going back on the ranch as they got older. Though one stayed overly friendly if you came across him and one of the herds.
