Martyr / sacrifice is not the same as this. This sounds more like the jew sneaky way of putting their sins in an innocent chicken and torture it to death. Jesus/God lived amongst us, he judged us and DESPITE being tortured and suffered unimaginable pain, he decided we deserved being forgiven for our original sin.
