Plus that as opposed to, say, 60 years ago the under 30 demo is more like 1-1 than the used to be 8-1 white vs. non-white.

In 1942 Americans disliked Jews in polling (it was only after WW2 that anti-Semitism collapsed) and preferred to lose the war over ending segregation according to one survey.
