Against a knife? He's doing it wrong. The towel would be effective against a knife attack if done properly. It's actually quite effective. Not better than a gun effective, but still.

Makes some sense. If you're german or in germany and coming out of the shower or drying off at the beach, you probably wont have a weapon other than a towel to use as defense when a wild brown attacks. Plus, even german courts would have a hard time turning towel-defense around on the victim, whereas if you use a gun, knife, or harsh words for defense, most euro governments will crucify you.

True as far as it goes, but it shows you how deep they are into Clown World over there that A: somehow totally non-lethal options like pepper spray or pepperball launchers are as banned as machine guns and B: there are rampaging shitskins to worry about in the first place.
