Pasteurized Milk is literally a processed food.

Why can't Americans consume unprocessed milk, and other dairy products?

I've heard Americans are practically the only people that drink milk as a beverage.

Ice cold milk is amazing and healthy if it is unmolested by the FDA's processes literally designed to kill the benefits it offers.

What a horrible web site. I guess I'm too retarded to figure out where the article is, so I had to search.

https://nypost.com/2025/04/28/health/new-study-shows-devastating-impact-of-ultra-processed-foods/

Study is very hard to understand for a layperson.

From a first glance, it looks like they took the percent of Ultra processed foods consumed and then made a magic "percent" of premature deaths to attribute to that - with no actual pathology to match?

Brazil seems like the outlier that disproves the rule, with a very low percent of processed food consumption, yet an enormous premature death population.

If the totality of Brazil's premature deaths was explained, I would give the study a bit more credibility.

Use this link instead to go to Neri's article. I found this on the front page, and Neri had removed the site's tracking crap, except for the ?.

"Risk of early death rises by nearly 3 per cent for every 10 per cent increase in calories from ultra-processed foods"

"Ultraprocessed foods could be killing more Americans than fentanyl, a new study has found.

The unhealthy food group, popularised for its convenience, often contains high levels of sugar, salt and unhealthy fats – and are believed to make up over 70 per cent of the US food supply.

Australians also consume a large amount of ultra-processed foods, also known as UPFs, with research suggesting they make up around 40 to 42 per cent of their daily energy intake." [MORE]:
