I mentioned previously attending one of their churches recently.
https://www.upgoat.net/viewpost?postid=680fe7edd9329I returned this morning.
The shitlib race-mixing female minister was not present. Instead I was treated to an oreo acting nigger and Trump basher. I've noted what I see as their hypocrisy on outreach to the 'disadvantaged' before - but I think what did me was their bulldyke usher giving me shit for using 'too much' sugar in the coffee. Just another business. Figures too - it's basically just a fag parade so they have few customers, er, parishioners. One of their featured songs this morning was 'Mother God'. Really??
The United Church of Christ is probably the largest more or less direct descendant of the Puritans. Congregationalists. Though strictly speaking the Prebyterians were more the strict Puritans in early Massachusetts. The Congregationalists were the separatists that landed at Plymouth Rock.
Next week it's the Mormons or the Eastern Orthodox. A certain politician I know is excited about the second possibility...

I took it out of a book case that was unlocked. I didn't ask the bulldyke usher for permission to take it and it's arguably theft - but do I really seem like I give a fuck about that?
Also reading this short biography in a series on US presidents edited by Arthur Schlesinger Jr. on George Washington:

I was thinking how little I know about Washington earlier last week. Then I just happen to run into this accessible book on him at a free book bin in the library... under 200 pages, much less not counting the index, notes, etc.
The other books on him I had in mind by Chernow or Southall Freeman are long and cumbersome.

Which is rather the problem. On one hand they use the 'we have to help the poor' line to justify passing the plate - on the other hand the one of only two homeless guys in attendance gets shit for using sugar in the coffee when the container is well past half full.
It is obvious in my appearances there that they lack resources, are discouraging the homeless from attending, and are typical liberal frauds.
The mainline churches have been dying for some years now. It's more political activism than Jesus.
