Depends upon when it was built. Is it an old build when they still used nails? Is it a commercial building that used screws but metal framing? Residential with 2 x 4 joists every 16"?

These are the things we need to know. I want to give you the best bang for your buck.

It's a commercial building. A movie theater built in 1987. It's painted over with black latex Sherwin-Williams brand paint. I can't tell how thick it is or how it is attached.

I know the paint because there was spare buckets in the utility closet.

Ooof, you hit the flex point between wood and metal but let's go with metal.

Now the real problem is that the span is probably large being at least 100' between walls but not to worry they are engineered to withstand at least three times the weight of the material. You know, in case it gets wet.

You can safely tape one person side by side from wall to wall and then foot to head two deep each way. DO NOT double stack butt to nuts. Don't.
