Glowies really pissed about this

Comey must be getting ready to be killed by Trump for treason

[ - ] Anus_Expander [op] -2 points 8 hoursMay 16, 2025 16:47:12 ago (+0/-2)

Every bar/restaurant worker knows that 86 means 'kick the stupid drunk out'. It does NOT mean 'murder him'. Anyone that thinks 86 means 'murder' needs to rope IMMEDIATELY.

Comey SHOULD be in prison for his PAST misdeeds, yes. But this current distraction is pure boomer retardation.

[ - ] DukeofRaul 3 points 8 hoursMay 16, 2025 16:52:17 ago (+3/-0)

I think it means kill him like john wick

[ - ] KosherHiveKicker 3 points 7 hoursMay 16, 2025 17:24:00 ago (+3/-0)

It goes back to the 1800's

A problem was taken 8 miles out of town, and planted 6 feet under.

[ - ] Anus_Expander [op] -1 points 7 hoursMay 16, 2025 17:29:53 ago (+0/-1)

The origin seems to be unclear. Wiki says it comes from the speakeasy days. Crooked cops would warn a certain bar about a raid, and they should '86' their clientele, meaning they should leave out the door marked by the number 86. It did NOT mean the bar owner should murder his customers. 86 has ALWAYS meant 'to kick out'. u/FagInTexas KNOWS this, as does everyone else. Nobody EVER says '86', and means 'murder'. Never. Comey is guilty of MANY misdeeds, but this time he CLEARLY meant that Blump should be kicked out of office, not assassinated. I cannot believe how fucking stupid this whole debacle is.

According to Cassell's Dictionary of Slang, "to 86" also means "to kill, to murder; to execute judicially," likely referring to the size of a standard grave being 2.5 feet wide by 8 feet long and 6 feet deep.[8][9] Other slang dictionaries confirm this definition.[10][11][12]

Green, Jonathon (2005). Cassell's Dictionary of Slang. Sterling Publishing Company, Inc. p. 174. ISBN 978-0-304-36636-1. 2 [1970s+] (US) to kill, to murder; to execute judicially.

Dalzell, Tom; Victor, Terry (June 26, 2015). The New Partridge Dictionary of Slang and Unconventional English. Routledge. ISBN 978-1-317-37251-6. Eighty-six to kill US, 1991

Hendrickson, Robert (2008). The Facts on File Encyclopedia of Word and Phrase Origins. Facts on File. ISBN 978-0-8160-6966-8. Eighty-six. To murder someone or put an end to something, [...] The expression derives from the restaurant waiter slang term eighty-six, which, among other things, means to "deny an unwelcome customer service" or to "cancel an order" ("Eighty-six the eggs!"), [...]

Now, shut the fuck up, ya retard.

[ - ] Anus_Expander [op] -1 points 7 hoursMay 16, 2025 17:16:57 ago (+0/-1)

You disingenuous retard boomer cunt, that is the VERY LAST definition in SOME slang dictionaries. The FIRST, in EVERY dictionary, is 'to eject from the premises'---'to kick out'...etc. You KNOW that. Now KYS IMMEDIATELY you kike faggot bitch nigger.

[ - ] FreeinTX 0 points 7 hoursMay 16, 2025 17:30:04 ago (+1/-1)

Nigger, these are 4 different slang dictionaries from as far back as the 1970's all suggesting that one use of the term is absolutely "to kill or murder". You said it was never used in this context, but it most certainly was.

As for your bullshit about "slang". Outside of slang, 86 is the number between 85 and 87. It is slang for several things. You point at bar lingo. That's slang. I pointed out 4 slang dictionaries that show another use of the word is and was "to kill or murder." Take the L. You're fucking wrong!

[ - ] Anus_Expander [op] 0 points 7 hoursMay 16, 2025 17:35:52 ago (+0/-0)

THE VERY LAST DEFINITION, IN EVERY DICTIONARY. Is that standard for you, to use the LAST definition? Have you EVER in your life used '86' to mean murder? You have not, neither have I, neither has anyone else. You KNOW this to be true. EVERYONE KNOWS that to be 86'd means to be KICKED OUT OF THE ESTABLISHMENT, not murdered. Fashion a noose, put it around your neck, and ROPE IMMEDIATELY.

[ - ] FreeinTX 0 points 7 hoursMay 16, 2025 17:40:45 ago (+1/-1)

86 has never meant 'murder'.

THE VERY LAST DEFINITION, IN EVERY DICTIONARY

So, never? Or the last of several definitions in numerous places?

Yes. 86'd means to get kicked out. It also means to get taken off the menu list because it's no longer available. In the military, it meant to throw something away. And, in similar fashion it means to get rid of someone by removing them from this earth. To kill them. To murder them

You said never, 4 different dictionaries that I found in less than 5 minutes say otherwise. Never? Never? Never ever? Admit you're wrong, faggot.

[ - ] Anus_Expander [op] 0 points 7 hoursMay 16, 2025 17:46:17 ago (+0/-0)

NOBODY EVER USES '86' TO MEAN MURDER. We ALL know what it means: to get kicked out of a bar or store. Why are you still alive? ROPE ROPE ROPE NOW NOW NOW.

[ - ] FreeinTX -1 points 7 hoursMay 16, 2025 17:50:48 ago (+0/-1)

Used in military context: to kill someone. A grave is 8'x6'x3'.... hence 8x6 or eighty six.
Our only way out of this one is to 86 the guard and bounce with all his shit.
by Anonymous November 06, 2002

In 2002, it was being used in the urban dictionary as to kill someone.

I've always understood "86 someone" to be gangland slang for killing them. I vaguely suspect a nautical origin. But Urban Dictionary gives a different slant, somewhere between your understanding and mine. –

In 2018, one of the most posty posters at English Stack Exchange knew it to mean "kill someone".

[ - ] Sector2 1 point 6 hoursMay 16, 2025 18:17:23 ago (+1/-0)

I've always understood "86 someone" to be gangland slang for killing them.

It was. Youths don't know history.

[ - ] Anus_Expander [op] 0 points 7 hoursMay 16, 2025 18:02:22 ago (+0/-0)

Ask the man on the street what 86 means. EVERYONE will say 'to kick someone out of a bar or store'. NOBODY will say 'to murder someone'. The ACCEPTED COMMON DEFINITION is 'to forcibly eject someone'. If you scroll down the page far enough, you can find ALTERNATE definitions for almost any word, but so what? THEY ARE RARELY, IF EVER, USED.

'Faggot' means 'a bundle of sticks', but who ever uses that word NOWADAYS in that way? NOBODY. 'Faggot' is most commonly used to describe YOU, faggot. Now KYS.

[ - ] Anus_Expander [op] 0 points 6 hoursMay 16, 2025 18:05:14 ago (+0/-0)

Urban Dictionary, eh? 'Murder' is not even on the first PAGE of answers. LOL. https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=86

[ - ] FreeinTX 1 point 6 hoursMay 16, 2025 18:38:44 ago (+1/-0)

Again, nigger, you've suggested that it's "NEVER" used as meaning "to murder or kill" and you've suggested that "NO ONE EVER" uses it in this way, "EVERYONE" uses it in a different way. That "NOBODY" would use it in this way. "NOBODY!"

I've given you 4 slang dictionaies, the urban dictionary, which is normally the go to for slang usage in the current century, and one of the most active content providers for a website dedicated to proper use is the English language ALL suggesting that "86" means "to murder or kill" someone.

So, in addition to not really understanding that 86 does have a meaning "to murder or kill" someone, in addition to not understanding that people do and have used 86 to mean to murder or kill someone, you also don't seem to understand the meanings to "never," "no one ever," "everyone," or "nobody."

Hot chick doesn't mean an attractive woman, it means a baby chicken outside in the heat.

Coined terms often have several correlated meanings.

[ - ] Anus_Expander [op] -2 points 7 hoursMay 16, 2025 17:21:12 ago (+0/-2)

EVERY AMERICAN KNOWS THAT 86 MEANS TO KICK OUT OF A BAR/STORE/RESTAURANT. Nobody, until today, EVER used 86 to mean murder/assassinate. You KNOW this is true.

Every American ALSO knows that 'hot chick' is a reference to an attractive woman. NO ONE but you would think otherwise. Your disingenuousness makes me suspect you of being jewish. I DEMAND you rope immediately. DO IT NOW. NOW. NOW!!

[ - ] Sector2 0 points 5 hoursMay 16, 2025 20:00:17 ago (+0/-0)

Hot Chick: Newly hatched chicken that hasn't yet been removed from the heated incubator. "Okay, next job is sexing the hot chicks in unit 4."

[ - ] KosherHiveKicker 0 points 7 hoursMay 16, 2025 17:22:30 ago (+0/-0)

86'd means...

"8 miles out, and 6 feet down."

-or-

"removed from the face of the earth"

[ - ] Anus_Expander [op] 0 points 7 hoursMay 16, 2025 17:31:19 ago (+0/-0)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Eighty-six or 86 is American English slang used in the hospitality industry and in the military and intelligence communities.

In the hospitality industry, it is used to indicate that an item is no longer available, traditionally from a food or drinks establishment, or referring to a person or people who are not welcome on the premises. Its etymology is unknown, but the term seems to have been coined in the 1920s or 1930s.

Author Jef Klein theorized that the bar Chumley's at 86 Bedford Street in the West Village of Lower Manhattan was the source. His book The History and Stories of the Best Bars of New York claims that the police would call Chumley's bar during Prohibition before making a raid and tell the bartender to "86" his customers, meaning that they should exit out the 86 Bedford Street door, while the police would come to the Pamela Court entrance.[5]
