They, if info i have seen is right, ended up splitting up into two different colonies one on Roanoke (and possibly relocating from there at a later date also) and at another separate location. One living with and among indians and miscegenating with them (with traces of DNA existing among some modern indian members) and the other seemingly disappearing over time.

I don't know how more "solved" it could get. They TOLD everyone where they were, but apparently archaeologists are too stupid to understand plain writing.

If it were a peaceful relocation, wouldn't they have taken the time to leave more than a one word message?

One thing i never understood - was it clear that all of their personal possessions were gone as well - tools, equipment, pottery, eating utensils, clothing and assorted bric brac etc?..
All the documentary's i have seen have never actually clarified this clearly.
