Jesus was very well documented, and from a prominent family that traced their lineage to King David at that.

Also, I despise preachers who don't speak in their regular voice. Preach as God made you. Don't imitate another preacher and certainly don't imitate a black preacher if you're white. Those truly called can speak eloquently in their own voice. Amen.

and so he was... Also remember, they strung him up for causing a ruckus during festival. and that behavior mirrors what current "refugees and immigrants" are doing.

So by the same theological logic, we should start crucifying those that don't assimilate?

The female pastor at the United Church of Christ service I attended Sunday before last made the case that Jesus was a refugee and called him "Joseph's son".

Other than maybe some historical black churches the United Church of Christ is usually taken to be the most liberal Protestant denomination in the US. Puritan offspawn. Its largest affilitate church is Obama's old church on the south side of Chicago. Rev. Jeremiah Wright of "goddamn America" infamy.
